The Taint

truck Spotted this truck from the Greater Vancouver Transportation Authority (better known as TransLink) on the commute home from work Friday.

The truck had lots of tools and work materials inside it, on top of it, and even on the back of it.

But what one item did the workmen think so unclean that it had to be placed all the way out on the back step, off to the side?

A take-out bag of McDonald’s food.

It looks like TransLink employees agree with Douglas Coupland that McDonald’s food is the taint (see the book version of jPod).

Will do. My blogroll is temporarily a bit mangled while I’m moving it from the sidebar to a separate page, but I’ll get it back up again.

And you know you can always find me at the Vancouver Blogger meetups. 🙂

    Have to add this one:

Last time my boss brought in mcdonalds for lunch and I told him it smelled like sewage. This time he snuck it upstairs and ate it all by himself.
